Washington
Washington passed appliance efficiency legislation in 2005, creating minimum efficiency standards for eight products.
The standards apply only to products sold for use in the state. They do not apply to new products manufactured in Washington and sold outside the State, new products manufactured outside Washington and sold at wholesale inside Washington for final retail sale and installation outside the State, products installed in mobile manufactured homes at the time of construction, or products designed expressly for installation and use in recreational vehicles.
